Meeting Minutes
June 06, 2004

Opening:

The annual meeting of the Indian Creek Cemetery Association was called to order at 10:00 am on June 6, 2004, at the Comanche Community Center by L. B. Bowman, President.  Glenn Bowman gave the invocation.

A.  Approval of Minutes

The minutes of the previous meeting were unanimously approved as read. 

Treasurer's report was given by Gail York, Treasurer.  The Association has a total of $1,314.00 in the checking account at Texas Bank of Brownwood, Texas.  It has a CD of $27,000.00 at Texas Bank, a CD with Brownwood Investment Company for $10,000.00, and a CD with Comanche National Bank for $10,000.00 for a total of $47,000.00 in CD's.  Motion was made to accept and approve Treasurer's report.  Motion carried.

B.  Old Business

Metal pavilion has been erected at cost of approximately $4, 364.32.  A thank you note will be sent to Russell Gillette in appreciation of all his hard work.

$465.00 was spent to eradicate weeds and grasses at the cemetery.

Several graves have been repaired.

Cemetery sign was showing signs of rust and was repainted and coated.

Trust fund payment from Ruby Carmichael Estate has been denied by one lawyer.  Letter was sent to L.B. Bowman which was notarized and resent and payment from the trust fund should be received soon.

C.   New Business

Indian Creek Community will have a display area in the Comanche County Museum.  Old pictures and artifacts may be placed there for display if anyone so chooses.

Motion made by Wayne Parsons II and seconded by Venetia Scott that current officers be retained for the year 2004 - 2005.  Motion carried.

Motion made by Margaret Bowman and seconded by Edward Isham to create office of Vice-President.  Motion carried.

Motion was made and Wayne Parsons II was selected to serve as Vice-President by acclamation.

D.  Agenda for Next Meeting

Next meeting will be held on the first Sunday of June, 2005.

Meeting was adjourned at 12:00 pm  by  L. B. Bowman. The next general meeting will be at 10:00 am on the first Sunday in June 2005 at the Comanche Community Center, Comanche, Texas.  Benediction was given by Glenn Bowman.
